2-Car Incident Closes Route 9

Route 9 at N. Mesier Avenue was closed on January 4th due to this 2-car incident that occurred just south of the intersection. Traffic was diverted onto N. Mesier while New Hackensack Fire Department and Town of Wappinger Ambulance attended to the patients. Two individuals were transported to the hospital. Witnesses stated that the driver of the white car crossed over the concrete median between the north and southbound lanes. The road was closed for approximately 1 hour.
