May 14, 2004

New Hackensack was one of several fire departments that was requested mutual aid to the Village of Wappinger for this structure fire at 91 Market Street.  Due to numerous chemicals being stored in the abandoned facility, some area residents were evacuated from the vicinity.  New Hackensack provide water supply to Wappinger 68-11 via 900 feet of 5" hose which they connected to a hydrant that was available and then Engine 3 provided water via drafting from the Wappinger Creek for Arlington's ladder truck.
