Village of Fishkill 175th Anniversary Parade

May 22, 2004

Congratulations to New Hackensack on winning the Dutchess County Volunteer Firemen's Association "Least Demerits" trophy and also taking 3rd Best Regulation at the Parade; which included over 55 fire companies.  The "Least Demerit" trophy is awarded to the Dutchess County department that has the least amount of points taken away from them by the judges.  The Companies compete each year to hold the trophy (like the Stanley Cup).  However, the company that wins the award 3-times becomes the permanent owner of the trophy and a new trophy is manufactured and the competition starts again.  New Hackensack has now won the trophy 2-years in a row.  Just one more win is needed folks!!  Currently, the other winners on the trophy at this time are J.H. Ketcham Hose and Rombout, which each have one win each.  GO NEW HACKENSACK!
