2-Car Motor Vehicle Accident

Route 376 between Maloney Road and Griffith Way by the Dutchess County Airport was closed for just over an hour on Friday after a two car motor vehicle accident. New Hackensack Fire Department and Transcare Ambulance were dispatched to the scene with reports of occupants trapped. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that both individuals needed to be extricated. The first vehicle, a pickup truck, was traveling Northbound when he was struck by the Southbound minivan that crossed the double-yellow line. The driver of the pickup was transported to the hospital with minor injuries to his back and nose. The driver of the van was transported to the hospital with a fractured femur and minor injuries to his face and arm. New Hackensack was assisted by Lagrange and Village of Wappinger Fire Departments. The scene was under investigation by the NYS Police.
