4-Car Incident Shuts Down Myers
September 12, 2007
At approximately 7:00 am, this 4-car incident closed Myers Corners Road at Kent Road for about an hour. All victims were transported to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries. One victim needed to be extricated from her vehicle. The incident was investigated by the DCSO and it was found that excessive speed and a fail to yield caused the incident. With traffic backed up on Myers heading westbound, the Audi tried to inch it's way out and into the westbound lane. The second vehicle, a Chevy Trailblazer, moving at an excessive speed clipped the Audi and then proceeded to get cross the yellow where it clipped the Saturn and went head-on into the Toyota. The driver of the Saturn needed to be extricated and had a broken ankle.
