Car vs. Motorcycle

September 25, 2009

New Hackensack and Transcare Ambulance were dispatched to this car vs. motorcycle accident in front of the Dutchess County Airport Terminal entrance.  Responders were notified that the motorcyclist was pinned under the vehicle.  Upon arrival, firefighters found that bystanders had moved the car back off of the driver.  Responders had found the patient had what looked to be a compound fracture and arterial bleeding of the forearm.  He was conscious but did not know where he was.  He was transported by Stat Flight Air 2 to Westchester County Hospital.  The driver of the BMW was uninjured.  New Hackensack Road was closed for a few hours while NYS Police investigated the scene.
