House Fire

New Hackensack was dispatched to this house fire at 41 Brothers Road just after 1:30 pm. The report stated occupants were still in the house.  Upon arrival, firefighters found a heavy smoke condition coming from the garage and second floor.  Firefighters assisted one of the residents out of the house after she was injured trying to escape.  The fire was brought under control and the main portion of the residence sustained some moderate damage.  The storage area above the garage sustained heavy fire damage.  Twenty-one members responded to the call.  Hughsonville Fire Department assisted mutual aid, while Lagrange Fire Department was requested to standby at New Hackensack's fire station to handle any additional emergencies.
