At 1:18 pm, NKFD was dispatched to a call for smoke in the residence.  Upon responding, we were notified by 911 that smoke detectors were activated in the home and smoke was billowing from the enclosed front porch.  Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the enclosed porch with an aggressive attack by the initial attack crew.  Mutual aid was received by the Village of Wappingers Falls and East Fishkill was requested to standby in New Hackensack's quarters.  The main living area sustained only minor smoke damage.  No injuries were reported.
