The officers at New Hackensack felt it was time to put the members up against each other again in another auto extrication competition. Two teams competed against each other using the same type Ford Escort station wagons. In the end, both teams did a great job. One team finished in 17 minutes and the other team finished in 18 minutes. The teams were scored on techniques and times to: Disconnect the batteries, stabilize the vehicle, remove all the glass, check the posts for airbag or hatch pistons, removing all four doors, removing the roof, and lifting the dash. It was an excellent refresher exercise and the members got to work on their skills.
