Dutchess County Airport Terminal was the scene of a mock disaster drill at 7:30 a.m. on October 14.  NKFD was originally requested to respond for an automatic fire alarm activation.   Upon response, Dutchess 911 notified 52-11 that an explosion had been heard from neighboring facilities.  Additional tones were put out for a full assignment structure fire.  Upon arrival, 52-11 notified Dutchess 911 of smoke showing and victims in the front of the building.  At that time, NKFD Command orders a first alarm MCI.  By the end of the mock drill, the fire department has received assistance from Dutchess Airport 92-11, Dutchess County HazMat, NYS Troopers, DC Sheriffs, Arlington Fire Dept., LaGrange Rescue, East Fishkill Rescue, Beacon Volunteer Ambulance, Sloper-Willen Ambulance, and County Cars 1, 13, 72 and 73.  Approximately 16 victims were rescued and transported to area hospitals, and two terrorists are arrested.
