This 1975 Light Buccaneer Sea Plane was unable to deploy its landing
gear and made a rough landing at Dutchess County Airport shortly before
6:00 pm. New Hackensack responded to the scene and inflated
air bags to raise the plane enough to bring the landing gear into proper
position, and then pushed the plane off of the runway. The process
took approximately an hour and the airport was closed during that time
period. No injuries were reported and the plane only sustained minor
damage.
