On Sunday July 25th, The pilot of this Pilatus single-engine PC12/45 avoided
disaster when the engine shut down at 14,000 feet over the Hudson River. The
pilot radioed a May Day to the Dutchess County Airport Tower and was able to
glide the aircraft to a safe landing on runway 6 with the DC Airport 92-11 and
New Hackensack Fire Department standing by on the ground. No injuries were
reported.
