Open House is during Fire Prevention Awareness Week.  It is a special day of  events and presentations for the residents of New Hackensack Fire District.  From 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Families are welcome to stop by and check out the our latest fire suppression and rescue equipment as well as learn some valuable tips about fire prevention.  We have many events geared toward the children of the community such as "Stop, Drop, and Roll" and Shooting targets with a real hose.  The day would not be complete without our final demonstration of the day.  For 1999, NKFD showed the residents the response and extinguishment of a car fire.
