Myers Elementary School Visit

October 20, 2006

While the weather did not cooperate, the members of New Hackensack kept their scheduled visit to Myers Corners Elementary School for Fire Prevention Awareness.  Every year, the firefighters visit with the students to discuss fire safety and to educate the kids on ways to protect themselves.  Sparky made a visit as well.  Grades K-1 were visited by firefighters in the classrooms while grades 2-3 were taken outside to learn about fire safety via the department's fire safety trailer.  While students waited their turn, they watched important videos about checking smoke detectors and having meeting places with the use of the trailers outside television.
