40.000 FIRE POLICE CAPTAIN

40.010 Captain of the fire police is an appointed position by the Chief of the Department. This position shall be reviewed on a yearly basis.

40.020 The Fire Police Captain will provide control of the Firefighters who are assigned to the fire police squad.

40.030 The Fire Police Captain shall provide training for all squad members.

40.040 The Fire Police Captain is responsible for maintaining an up to date inventory of all materials used by the members of the fire police squad. Materials include radios, protective garments, flashlights, and road flares.

40.050 The Fire Police Captain shall make recommendations to the Chief of The Department for the purchase of equipment necessary for the well being and safety of all fire police members.
